We had to do this music report on a concert at Dewan Sri Pinang on a sunday.
i picked Curly from the other block and then went there. The concert started at seven.
We were standing in line, when Jap guitar and jap piano and Froggy came up to us.
Firstly, i have no idea what made them think thy could do that.
Secondly, Froggy exclaimed, and said to my sister,' WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?'
Darling carrot, naturally, didn't take very well to that, and she kept hissing at me, i HATE ONG CHUN TEE, over and over again after that episode.
Thirdly, there were SO many people.
And jap guitar was pointedly discriminating against all the girls who were dressed up to the nines.
'SEE. Wear until like going to prom.'
i was in jeans. It was a semiformal concert. You DO NOT wear an evening dress or gown to a semiformal concert. Some people, though, just don't understand the word.
Plump mama was going round and announcing to everyone- 'YOU"VE GOT TO ANALYSE THE 11th one ah'.
And i was laughing to myself at all the commotion.
Come on people- its a lousy concert, at a lousy concert hall, for a lousy 10 bucks.
I repeat- 10 bucks.
now let me tell you WHY you SHOULD NOT go to 10 ringgit concerts.
-Obnoxious, Obese MC who tries to dominate the show, even though it is the MUSIC, not his dancing 'expertise', that brought us there to watch.
-Long speeches by people who clearly CANNOT speak english. Have you ever heard of the word erererer?? No??? Exactly.
-Horrible audiences. There were a bunch of giggly housewives in the front fow of me, and a bunch of giggly schoolgirls at the back. talk about Not Enjoyable Experience.
-Obcene dancers. Look, if you want a 'naked' look, just take EVERYTHING off okay? And PINK. Ew. Yeaugh. Bleaugh. And what sort of dancing involves a lot of gyrating and pumping movements?? and you call yoursleves PROFESSIONALS??
-Lousy music. The main part of the show, and so many mistakes.
-Singing lady. ARGH. That's called singing?? i thought you were going to faint woman!!
-LOUSY STRING PLAYERS. they did the instruments injustice, i tell you!!!
The only good thing was the energy levels- without it, the show would have been an absolute failure.
later on the way back home, Curly and Carrot started on about Froggy liking me, which i already asked him before, and he said no.
And Dad, of course, was eagerly listening to all the news. i could see his ears rising all the way up to his eyebrowline.
YAWN YAWN YAWN.
It was a big waste of my time, strictly speaking.
We got home at eleven, and i fell right into bed. We had school the next day, and i was TIRED<
Tired of these 'social events', tired of people, tired of noise
Tired ,basically, of life.
Ps. Don't worry. i'm not going to kill myself anytime soon. Ever, in fact. I want to die a natural death.
