Pre- doomsday: It's really funny, but i don't feel as if i'm ever going to attend school again. Then came friday... ORIENTATION ( aka Friday): We went to school at about 9 to get school uniform and everything. I was trying to look as sloppy as possible, cos I've heard cases of expulsion due to sloppiness. ( hey, it might happen, okay?!) At the uniform shop, we had to try on sizes and the lady helping out took one look at me, asked what year i was in, and then proceeded to say,"you're a little slight..." -_- Thanks, woman, really Appreciate it. After that, I took 2 tours of the school. One with the primary and one with the secondary. I shall elaborate on the schooling system there. Basically, The school year starts in August, which means that I was entering the Singapore equivalent of Sec 3. Whoopee... So I'll be taking my IGCSEs in 2008 May, as opposed to Singapore 2008 november. In order to take add math, i have to first take f math (sounds really wrong) in 2007 January, which was, last time i checked, 4 months away. EUUAGAHHHH!! Being born in August isn't so great either, cos it means that I'm one of the youngest pupils. Not too mention, one of the 'slightest' ones too... There was another new girl in my class there. She's about... one whole head taller than me. What's with all the giants??? Doomsday: I call this doomsday cos if I actually survive then i'll be fine after it. Simple logic for a Slight, Young me. Yay... I was wearing the school uniform that we just bought. The materials okay, but the design... Urgh. Euagh. Bleugh. Yeah. Like that. We were all supposed to assemble in the hall to listen to some Grand Speech. As I'm about to enter the doors, I wipe my hand across my nose and find a whole bunch of blood. I'm out of the door before you can even say out of the door. impressions are very important in this world. And i so happen to know that bloody noses don't make good ones. You'll be known as the Bloody Nose Girl for the rest of the year... And how nice is that??? I spent half an hour in the toilet. Everytime I was about to step out, I'd find that some more blood just decided to come out. Not to mention that this was my first nose bleed. That meant that i missed the whole assembly and didn't know what to do. Great start to the year, huh? I decided to go up to my classroom when the bell rang. At least i knew where that was. Everyting evetually sorted itself out, but the worst part was- THEY ACTUALLY SET HOMEWORK!! Evil evil evil evil. The word just kept ringing from my mind. And now I actually have to DO my homework, cos they check if you do it. In Singapore, no one bothers until the end of the year. The basic reason is because there are only 540 students here in total, from pre-school to IB level. So much for having a blast in school. anyone have a panadol? I really need one now. Somethings wrong with me. I can't think and I keep getting dizzy. Maybe its from too much blood lost. hahahahaha
Ps. There's this thing about money and me. Everytime we go grocery shopping, the total always equals out to something like 150+-. And considering that I'm not getting any allowance yet, that's a really big sum. Big enough to make my eyes bulge out of my head into the nasty world.
PPs. And about not updating. I try to give more detail, and that's really hard to do, considering that I only get 3 hours a week, so it takes a long time for me to keep up. For which I Deeply Apologise.
